Revd Dr Alan Niven (President)
BA (Hons), BD, GradDipEd, DipMin, MSocSci. PhD
In 1974 Alan came to Australia from England where he had trained as a languages teacher (French and Italian), and married Chris in 1977. He is an ordained Churches of Christ minister whose parishes have been new communities. In 1994 Alan became the full-time lecturer in Pastoral Studies at the Churches of Christ Theological College where he also serves as Vice Principal. His teaching covers pastoral counselling, marriage and family studies, violence and abuse, grief and loss, formation and pastoral leadership. Alan and Chris have three adult children

Revd Dr Michael Smith SJ (Dean)
BSc, GradDipSci, GradDipEd, BTheol, MA, EdD
Michael Smith is the Rector of Jesuit Theological College. He is also the Delegate for Jesuit Formation in the Australian Province of the Society of Jesus. Originally from New Zealand, he joined the Australian Province of the Society of Jesus in 1976 and was ordained a priest in 1984. From 1986-1989, he was the vocations promoter for the Jesuits in Australia. In 1990 he taught at Saint Ignatius College, Riverview, before going to the United States in 1991 to study for a Master of Arts in Pastoral Counseling at Loyola University Chicago. He did his Tertianship in Northern Ireland in 1993-94. From 1994 to 2005 he was the Director of Campion Centre of Ignatian Spirituality in Melbourne where he gave retreats, and worked as a pastoral counselor and spiritual director. While he was at Campion he completed his Doctorate in Education at La Trobe University.

Sr Jan Geason RSM
BA, BSW, Cert Theol Studies
Formerly a teacher and social worker, Jan returned to the ministry of spiritual direction after 11 years in local and national leadership in her Mercy Congregation. She trained in spiritual direction at the Jesuit School of Theology in Berkeley, California. She now works on the team at the Campion Centre.

Mrs Bernadette Miles
BTheol MAppSc
With 20 years of experience in computer consulting and business management, Bernie studied theology and spiritual direction and was appointed as Director at the Campion Centre of Ignatian Spirituality in September 2005. Bernie is married with four sons and has a particular interest in the formation of lay vocations and in leadership development and training.

Revd Peter Bentley
BTheol, GradDipEd, DipEng,GDSD, MA
Director of the WellSpring Centre and an Associate Pastor of Ashburton Baptist Church.
He is a Retreat Leader and Spiritual Director, with a special interest in Art, Australian spirituality and the Enneagram.
