Graduate Certificate in Supervision (GCS)

Supervision is a formal, collaborative process in which a supervisor monitors, develops and supports both those in formation as spiritual directors, and those qualified spiritual directors engaged in the practice of that ministry.  Supervision may be conducted either one-to-one or in a group setting.  The supervision of a spiritual director is:

(a) a one-to-one relationship in which one person is designated to facilitate in another person the development of competencies in giving spiritual direction;

(b) a group process in which one person is designated to facilitate the development of competence in giving spiritual direction of the others in the group.
